Paddles

A good quality paddle is your connection to the water. Blackfish Paddles are designed in Squamish, BC and are used by paddlers around the world.

Things to look for when buying a paddle:

• weight – our paddles are mostly carbon to full carbon and weigh .75-1.75 lbs
• design – well designed paddles help make an efficient catch so you can be efficient with power transfer to the water
• strength – strong enough to withstand the demands of high intensity paddling.
• flex – strong with just the right amount of flex to make paddling easier on your shoulders and body

We use Blackfish Paddles for lessons, tours, rentals and depend on quality and durability under harsh conditions.  You can also demo most paddles before buying.  We recommend you do that.  And ask for our recommendations for what suits your SUP paddle style and plans.
